Hayden has gone 9-1 against Superior recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. Hayden will venture away from home to take on Superior at 1:30 p.m. Hayden's pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so Superior's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Superior will be up against a hot Hayden squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Everything went Hayden's way against San Manuel on Friday as Hayden made off with a 7-0 win. The Lobos might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Superior faced off against Ray on Friday. Superior came out on top against Ray by a score of 10-6. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Panthers' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Joel Romero made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out 12 batters over 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. He has become a key player for Superior: the team is undefeated when he allows at most two hits, but 3-4 otherwise. Romero was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Nicholas Rabago was incredible, scoring three runs while going 4-for-5. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Andrew Blair also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Superior always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Hayden's victory was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Superior, their record is now 6-4.

Hayden took their victory against Superior when the teams last played on March 1st by a conclusive 19-1. Will Hayden repeat their success, or does Superior has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
