Newark took a 17-run loss the last time they faced off against Lyons, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Reds won by a run and slipped past the Lions 6-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Reds have posted since April 4th.

Newark's victory bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Lyons, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 9-1.

When Newark and Lyons next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. The Reds will try to stop Le Roy's three-game winning streak when they meet at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Lyons will face off against Palmyra-Macedon and their three-game winning streak at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
