Volleyball Recap: Langston Hughes Takes a Loss

Langston Hughes was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

Leading Notre Dame to victory were Callie McCormick and Kaylee Pendergrass. McCormick had nine digs and four aces, while Pendergrass had four digs and four aces.

Langston Hughes' defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Notre Dame, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Langston Hughes wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against The King's Academy on the 23rd. As for Notre Dame, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Glenwood on the 23rd.
