Telstar won against Forest Hills on Thursday with 11 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Rebels' pitcher stepped up to hand the Rangeley Lakes Lakers an 11-0 shutout. The Rebels might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by seven runs or more this season.

Connor Deprey made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out ten over four innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Bryson Walker and Brennan Walker did most of the damage at the plate: Bryson went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double, while Brennan got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Bryson has become a key player for Telstar: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 0-3 otherwise. Maceo Bartlett was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Telstar was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .412. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .321 or higher in five consecutive games.

Telstar has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 9.8 runs. As for Rangeley Lakes, they dropped their record down to 0-5 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Telstar will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Lakers: the pair will be back at it again later today.
