Baseball Recap: Meadowbrook Has No Trouble Against Crooksville

Meadowbrook barely beat Crooksville the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Colts blew past the Ceramics 7-1 on Friday. The Colts haven't had any issues with the Ceramics recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Austin Warner and Casey Clendenning did most of the damage at the plate: Warner went 1-for-4 with three RBI, while Clendenning got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI. That's the most runs Clendenning has posted since back in April.

Meadowbrook pushed their record up to 10-11 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Crooksville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season.

Meadowbrook will face off against Claymont at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Crooksville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
