Basketball Game Preview: Evergreen Christian Eagles vs. Mt. Zion Prep Academy Blue Warriors

Two dominant guards in Jackson Britt and Steve Lewis Jr are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Evergreen Christian Eagles will be playing at home against the Mt. Zion Prep Academy Blue Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Last Tuesday, Evergreen Christian was beaten by Bishop Ireton 89-59. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Britt, who went 5 for 12 en route to 16 points. The game was his third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Cole Forbrich, who posted eight points and five boards.

Meanwhile, Mt. Zion Prep Academy Blue had to suffer through a 70-38 loss at the hands of Highland. The matchup marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Mt. Zion Prep Academy Blue dropped their record down to 8-10 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Evergreen Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 19-13.
