Wednesday just wasn't the day for Mountainside's offense. They fell just short of the Glencoe Crimson Tide by a score of 1-0 on Wednesday. The Mavericks' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Mountainside's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Glencoe, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mountainside will take on Westview at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The contest will give the Mavericks their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Glencoe, they will face off against Jesuit at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Crimson Tide 2.3, the Crusaders 3.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
