Volleyball Recap: Saint Mary's Panthers vs. Pinole Valley Spartans
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Salesian College Preparatory, Saint Mary was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They blew past the Pinole Valley Spartans 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.
One reason for the win was Saint Mary's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-17, 25-16.
Corinne Jones paced Saint Mary's offense, picking up nine kills. Jones got some help from Isabella Garzo -Cuevas and her 16 assists. Landry Fa'Afiu controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.
