Basketball Recap: South Bend Riley Comes Up Short

South Bend Riley lost against Elkhart back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The South Bend Riley Wildcats were outmatched by the Elkhart Lions and fell 68-39.

South Bend Riley's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Serenity Farmer, who posted 11 points and five rebounds. Erin Span was another key player, putting up nine points.

South Bend Riley's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Elkhart, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-6.

South Bend Riley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 54-46 win against Mishawaka Marian on the 4th. As for Elkhart, they will challenge Homestead at 2:30 p.m. on January 11th.
