Baseball Recap: Hamilton Extends Home Winning Streak to Five

While Hamilton didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They walked away with an 11-7 victory over the Schoolcraft Eagles on Saturday. For the Hawkeyes, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 win the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Hamilton pushed their record up to 7-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Schoolcraft, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Hamilton wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Covenant Christian on the 23rd. As for Schoolcraft, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 7-6 defeat against Hackett Catholic Prep on the 22nd.
