Basketball Recap: Roanoke Catholic Comes Up Short

Roanoke Catholic played a tough matchup on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 60-9 loss at the hands of the Jefferson Christian Academy Cardinals . The game marked the Celtics' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Jefferson Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Anna Reed, who went 5 of 7 on her way to 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Abby Reed, who went 6 of 8 on her way to 12 points.

Roanoke Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Jefferson Christian Academy, they pushed their record up to 8-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Roanoke Catholic will take on Miller School of Albemarle at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Jefferson Christian Academy, they will head out to square off against Virginia Episcopal School at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
