Basketball Recap: St. Joseph Spartans vs. Imani Christian Academy Saints
The St. Joseph Spartans lost against the Imani Christian Academy Saints back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. St. Joseph was outmatched by the Saints on the road and fell 98-24. While losing is never fun, St. Joseph can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 682nd, while the Saints are ranked 159th).
Nate Brazil continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Imani Christian Academy, scoring 21 points along with six steals and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Wesley, who scored 17 points along with two steals.
St. Joseph dropped their record down to 3-15 with that loss, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Imani Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 7-10.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Neighborhood Academy the next time they take the court. Imani Christian Academy will head out to face Neighborhood Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, while St. Joseph will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
