Volleyball Recap: Grafton Comes Up Short

Grafton lost against Catholic Memorial back in October of 2015 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Black Hawks came up short against the Crusaders, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Black Hawks have suffered since September 10th.

While Grafton ultimately came up short, they really made Catholic Memorial work, particularly in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-21, 27-25.

Despite the loss, Grafton still got an impressive performance from Paige Arentz, who had six digs and three aces.

Grafton is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 21-8. As for Catholic Memorial, their win bumped their record up to 19-14.

Grafton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Cedarburg on the 14th. As for Catholic Memorial, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Westosha Central on the 11th.
