Football Game Preview: Alhambra Moors vs. Bell Gardens Lancers

Alhambra is preparing for their first league matchup of the season on Thursday. After each having a week off, they and the Bell Gardens Lancers will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:00 p.m. Alhambra is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 28.6 points per game this season.

Bell Gardens will be up against a hot Alhambra squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. The Moors took down Wilson 40-21 last Friday.

Bryan Leonard looked great while leading his team to the win, throwing for 132 yards and two TDs, while also punching in one score on the ground. Halen Tsang handled things on the ground, rushing for 114 yards and a rushing touchdown.

Meanwhile, Bell Gardens was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap last Friday as they fell 14-10 to California. The Lancers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Alhambra's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Bell Gardens, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Alhambra was dealt a bruising 46-0 loss at the hands of Bell Gardens when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Moors, Devyn Duarte (who picked up 98 receiving yards and three touchdowns) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
