Basketball Recap: Dickinson Gators vs. Clear Lake Falcons
The Dickinson Gators waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They skirted past Clear Lake 82-79. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Qasim Boyd was his usual excellent self, scoring 40 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jeremiah Scoby, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds.
Dickinson has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-17 record this season. As for Clear Lake, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 18-13.
Dickinson will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Clear Creek is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for Clear Lake, they will head out on the road to take on the Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Clear Falls is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home.
