Basketball Recap: Jaiyden Jones' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Mcquaid Jesuit over Victor

McQuaid Jesuit lost against Victor last Sunday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The McQuaid Jesuit Knights fell 70-60 to the Victor Blue Devils.

McQuaid Jesuit lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jaiyden Jones, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 11 rebounds. Henry Fox was another key player, going 9 of 22 on his way to 23 points.

Even though they lost, McQuaid Jesuit smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

McQuaid Jesuit has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. As for Victor, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

McQuaid Jesuit will head out to face off against Jamesville-DeWitt at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Jamesville-DeWitt knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully McQuaid Jesuit likes a good challenge. As for Victor, they will welcome Gates Chili at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Gates Chili will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Victor surely won't give up without a fight.
