Basketball Recap: Plainfield South Snags Fifth Victory in Last Six Games

Plainfield South hadn't done well against Oswego recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Plainfield South Cougars walked away with a 64-56 victory over the Oswego Panthers. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cougars also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2024.

Plainfield South has also been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.0 points per game. As for Oswego, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-10.

Plainfield South will welcome Minooka at 6:30 p.m. on January 24th. As for Oswego, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Naperville North at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.
