Baseball Recap: Au Gres-Sims' Luck Changes for the Better on Thursday

Au Gres-Sims lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Alcona, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Thursday's contest. The Wolverines' pitchers stepped up to hand the Tigers a 20-0 shutout on Thursday. Considering the Wolverines' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

With the win, Au Gres-Sims broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-3. As for Alcona, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 2-3.

Au Gres-Sims will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Hale at 4:00 p.m. on May 4. As for Alcona, they will head out on the road to square off against Hillman at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
