Baseball Recap: Forge Christian Extends Winning Streak to Three

Forge Christian had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. Everything went their way against The Academy Wildcats as they made off with a 12-2 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Fury, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Jonah Boykin was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Carsen Hughes, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple.

Forge Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .581. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Forge Christian's record is now 18-2. As for The Academy, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-18.

Forge Christian will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Wildcats: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
