Volleyball Recap: Academy of Our Lady of Peace Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Academy of Our Lady of Peace was the 3-1 winner over Coronado when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. The Pilots fell just short of the Islanders by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday.

Academy of Our Lady of Peace started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 24-26, 22-25, 25-17, 25-19, 15-13.

Despite the loss, Academy of Our Lady of Peace still got an impressive performance from Amanda Guzman, who had 24 digs and two assists. Guzman has been hot, having posted 17 or more digs the last seven times she's played. Delilah Wilson also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Academy of Our Lady of Peace has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-8 record this season. As for Coronado, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 25-4.

Academy of Our Lady of Peace wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against Christian on the 8th. As for Coronado, they will take on Valley Christian in a tournament on Friday.
