Baseball Recap: Medford Has No Trouble Against Antigo

Medford had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They walked away with a 9-4 victory over the Antigo Red Robins. The contest marked the Raiders' most dominant win of the season.

Parker Lissner was incredible, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Medford is 4-1 when Lissner posts two or more runs, but 3-7 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Hayden Strebig, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Medford kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive games.

Medford's record is now 7-8. As for Antigo, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

Medford will welcome Northland Pines at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Antigo, they will head out to square off against Tomahawk at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Red Robins are facing the Hatchets at the right time seeing as the Hatchets are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
