Basketball Game Preview: Putnam County War Eagles vs. McNair Mustangs

The Putnam County War Eagles will take on the McNair Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in Putnam County's favor as the team sits on eight straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while McNair has been banged up by 19 consecutive losses on the road also dating back to last season.

On Tuesday, Putnam County strolled past Towers with points to spare, taking the game 76-59. Given the War Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 34th, while the Titans are ranked 185th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, McNair was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 67-61 to Social Circle.

Putnam County's win bumped their record up to 16-0. As for McNair, their loss dropped their record down to 3-12.
