Baseball Recap: 12 Straight Home Wins for Canyon Del Oro

Canyon del Oro had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 10-0 margin over the Nogales Apaches. The Dorados' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Tarrell Reid made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four). He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Gatlin Geile was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four RBI and two runs. Jackson Potter also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Canyon del Oro kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Nogales only managed three hits.

Canyon del Oro's win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Nogales, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4-1.
