After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Dudley, Southeast Guilford was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 42-26 victory over the Lee County Yellow Jackets. The high-scoring effort was just what the Falcons needed considering they were shutout in their previous game.

Alexander Marsh had an outrageously good game as he threw for 219 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 85 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rushing yards. Southeast Guilford also got a significant boost from Teriq Mclaughlin, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 89 yards.

Despite the loss, Lee County still got an impressive performance from Rahshaun Brown, who rushed for 182 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.1 yards per carry.

Southeast Guilford's win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-1. As for Lee County, their defeat was their first of the season and also makes their record 2-1.

Southeast Guilford will have plenty of time to enjoy the victory as they don't play again for a while. They'll take on Grimsley at 7:30 p.m. on September 20th.
