Soccer Recap: Columbus Academy Takes a Loss

Columbus Academy lost against Bishop Watterson back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Vikings lost 5-0 to the Eagles. While losing is never fun, Columbus Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 362nd, while Bishop Watterson are ranked 64th).

Columbus Academy's defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Bishop Watterson, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4-2 record this season.

Columbus Academy will look to defend their home pitch on Wednesday against Whitehall-Yearling at 7:00 p.m. As for Bishop Watterson, they will head out to square off against St. Francis DeSales at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
