Basketball Preview: Hemingford Bobcats vs. Morrill Lions
Hemingford is 2-8 against the Lions since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The pair will face off at 5:00 p.m. on February 6th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hemingford is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
Last Friday, Hemingford lost to the Longhorns on the road by a decisive 35-20 margin.
Meanwhile, Morrill was the victim of a rough 65-43 defeat at the hands of the Mustangs on Saturday. Morrill has not had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Hemingford's loss dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Morrill, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-8 record this season.
Hemingford came up short against the Lions in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, falling 37-30. Can Hemingford avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
