Basketball Recap: Burlington Christian Academy Extends Road Winning Streak to Five

Burlington Christian Academy hadn't done well against The Burlington School recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Burlington Christian Academy Royals came out on top against The Burlington School Spartans by a score of 57-44. This was a revenge game for the Royals: when they faced off against the Spartans last Friday, they had to take a 62-58 loss.

Several Spartans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kaden Hammond, who went 7 for 13 to rack up 14 points in addition to eight boards and three blocks. Hammond is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Cam Flippen, who posted 13 points and six rebounds.

Burlington Christian Academy pushed their record up to 18-9 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.6 points over those games. As for The Burlington School, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 17-11.
