Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wakeland). They claimed a resounding 52-24 win over the McKinney North Bulldogs. With the Wolverines ahead 35-10 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Jayden Maples continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 409 yards and four touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. That's the most passing yards he has posted since back in October of 2024. Lucas Mangham was another key player, picking up 125 receiving yards and three TDs.

Wakeland didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Mangham and Preston Lowery.

Wakeland pushed their record up to 5-0 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 40.7 points over those games. As for McKinney North, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.
