Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Young Men's Leadership Academy). They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the Long Creek Dragons 79-24. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Young Men's Leadership Academy found their leader in sophomore Aiden Olivarez, who went 13 of 18 en route to 28 points and five steals. That makes it 13 consecutive games in which Olivarez has scored at least a third of Young Men's Leadership Academy's points. Another player making a difference was Anthony Amires, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 10 points in addition to seven boards and three steals.

Young Men's Leadership Academy now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Long Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9.

Young Men's Leadership Academy will venture away from home to face off against Stockdale at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Long Creek, they will be taking part in a tournament against John F. Kennedy at 10:30 a.m. on December 27th.
