It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Auburn can now relate to. They fell just short of the Beecher Bobcats by a score of 4-2 on Friday. The Trojans' loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Meena Taylor spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Auburn saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jenna Arenz, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.
