Basketball Recap: Crystal City Comes Up Short

Crystal City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They fell 55-44 to the Grandview Eagles. The Hornets were probably out for revenge after losing 62-55 to them when the teams met back in January of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Crystal City's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Grandview, their win ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Crystal City will host Perryville at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Grandview, they will be playing at home against Valmeyer at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
