Upper Lake hadn't done well against Fort Bragg recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Cougars blew past the Timberwolves 3-0. This was a revenge game for the Cougars: when they faced off against the Timberwolves back in September, they had to take a 3-1 loss.

While Upper Lake won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-17, 25-20.

Aimee Schaefers paced Upper Lake's offense, picking up 19 kills. Schaefers got some help from Camila Martin and her 28 assists. Finally, Schaefers was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high nine blocks.

Upper Lake has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-6 record this season. As for Fort Bragg, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-8.

Upper Lake wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Clear Lake on the 7th. As for Fort Bragg, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against Lower Lake on the 7th.
