Monterey Trail barely beat Pleasant Grove the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Mustangs took their matchup on Friday with ease, bagging a 35-0 win over the Eagles. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by 21 points or more this season.

Odie Jefferson had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 87 yards and two scores. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaden Love, who rushed for 28 yards and one TD.

The victory (which was Monterey Trail's third in a row) raised their record to 5-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 43.7 points over those games. As for Pleasant Grove, the defeat was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 4-2.

Coming up, Monterey Trail will head out to face off against Rocklin at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Pleasant Grove, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Franklin at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
