Carter Cox gave up the fewest hits he has since back in March on Wednesday. He was dynamite, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

Cox's effort led Venice over Newsome and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
