Soccer Recap: Somerset Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Somerset, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They blew past the Uvalde Coyotes/Lobos (for girls) 3-0 on Friday. For the Bulldogs, this counts as revenge for the 5-4 victory the Coyotes/Lobos (for girls) walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

Somerset pushed their record up to 5-7 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those four matchups. As for Uvalde, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Somerset will venture away from home to face off against Pleasanton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Uvalde, they are taking a road trip to take on Floresville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Floresville knows how to get goals on the board -- the squad has finished with four goals or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Uvalde likes a good challenge.
