Grundy Center's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. Everything went their way against the South Hamilton Hawks as they made off with a 12-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Spartans, who have now won eight matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Grundy Center pushed their record up to 11-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for South Hamilton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-12.

Looking ahead, Grundy Center will square off against East Marshall at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Mustangs' pitching crew has only allowed 2.2 runs per game this season, so the Spartans' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for South Hamilton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Saydel at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
