Baseball Recap: Lincoln Charter Extends Home Winning Streak to Nine

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Lincoln Charter walked away with it. They walked away with a 19-15 win over the R-S Central Hilltoppers on Friday. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Eagles, who until this contest were averaging 3.54 runs allowed.

The team relied heavily on Reed Osborne, who went 1-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Justin Horne, who went 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Lincoln Charter lost a few balls and finished the game with five home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Lincoln Charter pushed their record up to 21-5 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for R-S Central, the loss snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 18-7 record.

As of now, neither Lincoln Charter nor the Hilltoppers have any future games scheduled.
