Volleyball Recap: Trinity Bulldogs vs. Randleman Tigers

If Trinity was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Jordan-Matthews last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Trinity Bulldogs fell 3-1 to the Randleman Tigers on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September.

Trinity started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 15-25, 25-14, 25-20, 26-24.

Despite the loss, Trinity saw an underclassman step up: Charlee Phillips had 12 digs. Those 12 digs set a new season-high mark for Phillips.

Trinity is taking a road trip to square off against Eastern Randolph at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Randleman does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
