Basketball Recap: Canyon View Victorious

Canyon View posted their closest victory since January 31, 2024 on Saturday. They skirted past the Hurricane Tigers 59-57. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Falcons also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.

Hurricane's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brigham Kemp, who went 7 for 10 on his way to 16 points. Quinn Gubler was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Canyon View's win bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Hurricane, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.

Canyon View will head out to face off against Emery at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Emery is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.5 points per game this season. As for Hurricane, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Hurricane Tigers duke it out with the Pine View Panthers at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Pine View will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Hurricane surely won't give up without a fight.
