Volleyball Recap: Orange Grove's Loss Ends Six-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Orange Grove was the 2-0 winner over Calallen when they last played one another back in August of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Bulldogs fell 2-0 to the Wildcats on Saturday. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Bulldogs were not able to get on the board.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-15.

Among those leading the charge was Amelia Hernandez, who had 14 digs and one assist. That's the most digs she has posted over her last six games.

Orange Grove's defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 11-2. As for Calallen, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-5.

Orange Grove has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against McAllen on the 23rd. As for Calallen, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Anderson on the 23rd.
