Preview: Crystal Springs Uplands vs. King's Academy
Crystal Springs Uplands and King's Academy are an even 4-4-2 against one another since February of 2019, but likely not for long. The Crystal Springs Uplands Gryphons will head out on the road to face off against the King's Academy Knights at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
After soaring to six goals the game before, Crystal Springs Uplands were a bit more limited in their match last Wednesday. They fell just short of Harker by a score of 2-1. It was the first time this season that Crystal Springs Uplands let down their fans at home.
Meanwhile, King's Academy has not lost a match since January 19th, a trend which continued in their latest game on Wednesday. They never let Pinewood onto the board and left with a 2-0 win. That's two games straight that King's Academy has won by exactly two goals.
They were led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Zander Guindy and
Isaac Guindy, who scored both of King's Academy's goals. The pair have combined for a total of 14 so far this season.
Crystal Springs Uplands' loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-7-1. As for King's Academy, their victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-4-2.
Crystal Springs Uplands was able to grind out a solid victory over King's Academy in their previous meeting back in January, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Crystal Springs Uplands since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
