Football Recap: Montrose Beats Palisade for Their Third Straight Win

Montrose put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They took down the Palisade Bulldogs 37-20. The Red Hawks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bulldogs, too.

Dylon Larson and Carter Hayward certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Larson rushed for 90 yards and one touchdown, while Hayward rushed for 36 yards and one score. Larson's longest rush was for an incredible 80 yards.

Montrose's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Palisade, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Montrose will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Grand Junction Central at 8:00 p.m. on the 18th. As for Palisade, they will head out to challenge Resurrection Christian at 7:00 p.m. on the 12th.
