After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Laguna Creek, Davis Sr. was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They walked away with a 27-20 win over the Cordova Lancers. That's more bragging rights for the Blue Devils, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

David Durksen threw for 213 yards and four touchdowns. Brody Beckwith was his top target, picking up 131 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Although Cordova took the loss, they still got scores from Zachary McIntire, Trey Wallace, and Gino David.

Davis Sr.'s victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Cordova, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.

Davis Sr. and Cordova could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Blue Devils will face off against Del Oro at 7:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank disadvantage (767 vs. 36). Meanwhile, Cordova (ranked 802nd) will meet Grant (ranked 51st) at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
