Softball Recap: South Iredell Takes a Loss

South Iredell came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Mooresville Blue Devils, falling 16-1. The Vikings were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Blue Devils earlier this season, when they won 8-3.

South Iredell saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caroline Constable, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Constable has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last eight times she's played.

South Iredell's loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Mooresville, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season.

South Iredell wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 13-5 victory against Central Davidson on the 23rd. As for Mooresville, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 12-4 win against Ardrey Kell on the 23rd.
