Basketball Recap: Phoenix Obermann's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Liberty Christian Academy over Heritage Classical Christian Academy

It was a Battle of the Birds when Liberty Christian Academy faced off against Heritage Classical Christian Academy on Thursday. The match between the Liberty Christian Academy Eagles and the Heritage Classical Christian Academy Hawks didn't end well, with the Liberty Christian Academy Eagles falling 53-38. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Hawks earlier this season, when they won 43-31.

Liberty Christian Academy's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Phoenix Obermann, who posted 12 points and three steals. Willy Mueller was another key player, dropping a double-double with 13 points and 13 boards.

This is the second loss in a row for Liberty Christian Academy and nudges their season record down to 16-10. As for Heritage Classical Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which somehow still isn't as good as their 16-4 record this season.
