Baseball Recap: Denver North Takes a Loss

Denver North came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 9-0 to the Horizon Hawks. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Vikings were not able to get on the board.

Denver North saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Agustine Sandoval, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

With the loss, Denver North broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-6. As for Horizon, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 2-7 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Denver North will square off against Montbello at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Vikings are facing the Warriors at the right time seeing as the Warriors are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Horizon, they will be playing at home against Skyline at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
