Football Game Preview: Newsome Wolves vs. Plant Panthers

Newsome is a perfect 3-0 against Plant since March of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Newsome Wolves will head out on the road to challenge the Plant Panthers at 7:30 p.m. Newsome's defense has only allowed eight points per game this season, so Plant's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Newsome's offense might be in the hot seat on Wednesday considering what happened against Lennard on Monday. They fell just short of the Longhorns by a score of 2-0. The Wolves haven't had much luck with the Longhorns recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Newsome didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jayden Elbanna and Sadie Avery.

Meanwhile, Plant was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 14-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bloomingdale.

Even if they lost, Plant's defense still kept up the pressure with six sacks. Bloomingdale's QB won't forget Sophia Ventura anytime soon given she sacked her five times.

Plant's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Newsome, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Everything came up roses for Newsome against Plant in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, as the team secured a 27-0 victory. Does Newsome have another victory up their sleeve, or will Plant turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
