Softball Recap: McGavock Raiders vs. Antioch Bears
In what's become a running theme this season, McGavock gave their fans yet another huge victory on Thursday. They were the clear victor by an 18-1 margin over the Antioch Bears. The win was nothing new for McGavock as they're now sitting on five straight.
Micayla Russell made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned run or hits while striking out nine over four innings pitched. Russell was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
In other batting news, Amanda Toth was a standout: she scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Addyson Brown, who scored three runs while going 2-for-2.
