Recap: Sandusky Blue Streaks vs. Huron Tigers
The Sandusky Blue Streaks had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.6 points), and they went ahead and made it six on Saturday. They strolled past Huron with points to spare, taking the game 63-44. Given Sandusky's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 21st, while Huron is ranked 379th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Sandusky's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Amir Aaron led the charge by scoring 19 points along with seven steals and two blocks. Aazoriyon Bonner was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with 13 rebounds and five assists.
Sandusky pushed their record up to 12-1 with that win, which was their third straight at home. As for Huron, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
Sandusky will head out on the road to take on Madison Comprehensive at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Madison Comprehensive has now lost 12 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 8. As for Huron, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Edison at 7:15 p.m.
