Baseball Recap: Five Straight Home Wins for Meridian

There's no place like home for Meridian, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Squalicum Storm a 5-0 shutout on Tuesday. That's more bragging rights for the Trojans, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Meridian pushed their record up to 6-5 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Squalicum, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-10.
